Support me as I walk to end Alzheimer's!

I am walking in memory of my Dad, who lost his fight to Alzheimers in June of this year. Having seen the many stages of this disease in his life and how crippling it can be physically, socially, emotionally, and financially, I wanted to be proactive rather than reactive. I am determined to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. By participating in the 2009 Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.

Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of the disease.

I want to do my part to fight this disease, but I need to ask for your support! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. I am so thankful to the many people who committed their time to help take care of my Dad, most of all, my Mom, whose strength and unending drive to care for Dad was inspiring.
